The title nods gently toward Monet while firmly rejecting romanticism — this is a suburban, practical space, observed rather than idealised.

Flat planes of colour, strong outlines and carefully balanced geometry reduce the garden to its essential shapes. The water becomes a graphic surface rather than a reflective idyll; the space feels private, contained and quietly humorous.
