The Footbridge
This work is reproduced from an original abstract landscape painting that explores place through structure, colour and movement rather than literal description. Architectural forms, bridges and horizons are suggested through line and shape, allowing the image to sit somewhere between memory and observation.
Layered washes of colour are balanced with drawn marks and linear elements, creating a sense of spatial rhythm and flow across the surface. The composition moves laterally, encouraging the eye to travel through the image rather than settle on a single focal point. Warm tones are held in tension with cooler blues and greys, giving the work both energy and calm.
The print is offered at A1 to preserve the scale, movement and colour relationships of the original painting. At this size, the spatial qualities of the work are fully realised, allowing it to function as a visual anchor within an interior rather than a decorative accent. A2 is available as a secondary option for more compact spaces while retaining the integrity of the composition.
Each print is produced using museum-quality giclée methods on heavyweight fine art paper, ensuring accurate colour reproduction, tonal depth and archival stability. The artwork is presented with a wide, conservation-grade mount, providing visual breathing space and supporting the sense of light and openness within the image.
This is a limited edition. The edition size reflects the balance between accessibility and collectability, ensuring the work remains a considered translation of the original painting.
